Now Hiring: Forklift Operator / Powder Coat Loader

Are you an experienced forklift operator who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment? We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Powder Coat Loader to join our 1st Shift team.

Important: This is a combination role. While forklift operation is a key responsibility, employees will not be on the forklift 100% of the time. Candidates must be willing to assist with loading and unloading parts on the powder coating line and support production activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and finished products throughout the facility.
• Load and unload parts for the powder coating process.
• Hang and remove metal components from the powder coat line.
• Stage materials and product to support production schedules.
• Transfer materials between departments and workstations.
• Perform visual inspections for quality concerns or defects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Assist with other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous forklift experience.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English or Spanish.

Preferred

• Manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience in powder coating, metal fabrication, assembly, or industrial operations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Strong attendance record and reliability.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and around industrial equipment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing setting with moderate to high noise levels.
• Exposure to moving machinery and industrial equipment.
• Exposure to heat and production processes.
• Required use of safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and other PPE.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who understands that this is a hybrid forklift and production role. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and willing to support the powder coating operation when not performing forklift duties. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety are essential.
