Our client, a leading organization in the technology and engineering sector, is seeking a Network Test Automation Engineer - Ethernet Systems DV to join their team. As a Network Test Automation Engineer - Ethernet Systems DV, you will be part of the Advanced Hardware Engineering department supporting Sensor Engineering. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Network Test Automation Engineer - Ethernet Systems DV

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $90-$95/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Build and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks for Ethernet compliance, integration, and performance validation
  • Develop PCAP/tcpdump tooling and fault injection scripts to validate ARP, ICMP, FCS, link-loss, and failure recovery test cases
  • Configure and manage VLAN-segmented (802.1Q) topologies across bench and HIL test setups, including power supplies, DAQ systems, and relay controls
  • Validate interoperability between network switches and sensors; ensure compliance with security and PPAP standards for Ethernet ECUs
  • Own technical documentation for frameworks, test methodologies, and system configurations

What's Needed?

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of OSI model, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, SNMP, and VLAN (802.1Q) configuration
  • Advanced Python and Bash scripting skills with proven test automation framework experience (e.g., pytest)
  • Proficiency with network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, tcpdump, traceroute, and ethtool
  • Solid CI/CD and DevOps experience with the ability to debug across the full OSI stack
