Truck Tire Builder

Our client, manufacturing is seeking a Truck Tire Builder to join their team. As a Truck Tire Builder , you will be part of the production team supporting tire assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to follow work instructions consistently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Truck Tire Builder

Location: Mount Vernon, IL

Pay Range: $16/hour

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts

What's the Job?

• Operate automated tire-building equipment to assemble, inspect, and document green tires according to production, quality, and safety standards.
• Log into MITS, record beginning and ending sequence numbers, and complete required production paperwork.
• Verify machine setup, bead measurements, and component specifications at startup and after changeovers.
• Apply, align, splice, stitch, and inspect tire components throughout the build process, including both carcass and finish sides.
• Apply barcode labels, perform final tire inspections, replenish materials, scan stock tags, and maintain component traceability.

What's Needed?

• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions while working around moving machinery and automated robotic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for visual quality inspections and identifying defects or abnormalities.
• Comfort using production systems and tools, including MITS, touch screens, keyboards, and barcode labeling processes.
• Willingness to support tire specification changeovers and assist with setup activities as needed.
• Physical readiness for a production environment with extended standing (8–10+ hours per shift) and frequent manual dexterity using both hands.
