Our client, an industry leader in environmental health and safety, is seeking a dedicated EHS - Level I to join their team. As an EHS - Level I, you will be an integral part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety department supporting operational excellence and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety that will align successfully within the organization.
Position: EHS Technician
Location: Mountain View CA/ Bay Area
Pay Rate: $32/hr
Summary
The role will be working with the Environmental health and safety team to inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities:

Prepare, process and track analytical samples collected from projects. Provide written report of findings to clients

Perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company EHS procedures

Maintain files and records pertaining to environmental, health and safety

Gather EHS specified information to assist in investigations, injuries, and complaints of hazards.

Recommend improvements to processes, design, procedures and aid in the creation and posting of EHS approved signage at sites identified by EHS.

Aid in delivery and placement of EHS equipment and supplies.

Conduct EHS specific inventory inspections for locations identified by EHS.

Perform EHS specific safety inspections for locations identified by EHS.

Assist in promotional, education and awareness efforts, as requested by EHS.

Perform EHS vehicle inspections and liaison with third party transportation service providers selected by Google on maintenance of EHS vehicles and other matters, per Google’s request.

Collaborate with the team for successful delivery of projects

A bachelor's degree (B.A) from four-year college or university, or two to three years related work experience.

Extreme attention to detail and careful follow-through.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to exhibit efficiency, initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability to change.

Must be in the Bay Area location

Strong experience and knowledge of related governing agency EHS requirements

Experience in safety management, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

EHS Certifications preferred
