Material Handler

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (some weekends)
$20 an hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials and products according to established procedures.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking tools.
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure materials meet company standards and specifications.
  • Prepare materials for shipment and ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and cross-functional teams to support operational goals.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance requirements, including GMP and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, supply chain, or a related environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks, including forklifts and order pickers.
  • Experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and handle materials safely.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse and distribution center environment.
  • Exposure to moving equipment, machinery, and moderate noise levels.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye protection, and other equipment as needed.
  • Fast-paced setting requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety and quality standards.
