Our client, a healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be part of the billing department supporting clinical and administrative staff. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Verona, WI
Pay Range: $22 - $24/hr
Shift: 1st Shift - 8am - 5pm
What's the Job?
- Verifying patient coverage limits, deductibles, and co-pays for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
- Preparing and submitting accurate billing codes and forms for resident care.
- Following up on unpaid claims, tracking resident trust accounts, and managing outstanding balances.
- Answering billing inquiries, managing files, and communicating with clinical and facility staff to ensure accurate documentation.
- Supporting administrative tasks related to billing and financial documentation.
What's Needed?
- Previous medical office or skilled nursing facility (SNF) billing experience is preferred, but not necessary.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and HMO billing rules.
- Proficiency with accounting/bookkeeping software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and customer service skills when handling sensitive financial discussions with families.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
