Ager/Material Handler

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Ager/Material Handler to join their team. As a Ager/Material Handler, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production and material handling processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Ager/Material Handler

Location: Alexandria, MN

Pay Range: $20+/hour

Shift: B shift (Monday-Wednesday, 6:30pm-6:30am Thursday, 6:30pm-12:30am)

What's the Job?

• Manage the west side of the artificial age ovens, including staging ovens and starting the age cycle
• Support material handling activities such as dumping scrap bins, receiving alloy loads, and moving trailers
• Participate in 5S initiatives to maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assist in organizing alloy between presses and maintaining press consumables like baskets and spacers
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times and support continuous improvement efforts

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to recognize safety concerns and utilize inspection equipment properly
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and team-oriented mindset
