Bloom Energy is seeking a Buyer to support purchasing and material planning activities for manufacturing operations. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily purchasing activities for raw materials to support production schedules.
- Review and validate MRP requirements and place purchase orders accordingly.
- Analyze demand, supply, and inventory levels to identify shortages and supply risks.
- Expedite supplier deliveries and proactively manage open orders.
- Partner with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure material availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, MRP systems, and supply planning.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reading and interpreting manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Knowledge of production planning processes.
- Knowledge of inventory control and material management.
- APICS/CPIM certification.
- Experience supporting supplier performance improvement initiatives.
