Inventory Clerk

Our client, a logistics and customer service operations organization, is seeking a Inventory Clerk to join their team. As a Inventory Clerk, you will be part of the Customer Service Material Logistics (CSML) organization supporting field teams and partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving, a detail-oriented mindset for accounting-grade accuracy, and the self-motivation to stay productive in a remote environment while adapting to workflow changes.

Job Title: Inventory Clerk

Location: Cary, NC (Remote after initial onboarding; candidates must reside in the Raleigh-Durham area for in-person orientation and equipment pickup)

Pay Range: $32/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

What's the Job?

• Manage consignment, trunk stock, and tool inventory for the CX Field organization, ensuring inventory support for spare parts and tool & test needs.
• Provide inventory support services over the phone and online for Customer Service Engineers (CSEs) and other partners, helping resolve inventory-related questions and issues.
• Support Customer Administration by resolving service report errors, processing reversals for incorrect billings, and escalating serial number errors tied to the installed base.
• Support Memphis Returns by resolving return processing errors, proactively identifying improvement opportunities to reduce errors, and researching missing parts with CSML.
• Prepare for and execute annual physical inventory activities in line with accounting guidelines, including reconciliation between SAP, CSE, and calibration with minimal variance.

• Problem-solving skills to address inventory issues and workflow challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail to meet standards for accounting processes and audit readiness.
• Self-motivation and consistent productivity while working remotely.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle daily workflow changes and shifting priorities.
• Technical capability with SAP and Microsoft Office (including Excel basics such as lookups), plus logistics/inventory experience.
