Inventory Control Clerk

Our client, a manufacturing and logistics-focused organization, is seeking a Inventory Control Clerk  to join their team. As a Inventory Control Clerk , you will be part of the operations team supporting inventory accuracy and daily order processing. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and comfort working with computer systems, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Inventory Control Clerk 

Location: Altavista, VA

Pay Range: $16.00

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance and investigate inventory discrepancies during daily order processing.
• Process rejected, expired, short dated, and returned products to ensure inventory records remain accurate.
• Support Quality and Manufacturing by handling material being destroyed, reworked, or quarantined according to established procedures.
• Resolve orders on hold for inventory status and help move materials through the correct disposition path.
• Process material being destroyed, re-worked, or quarantined in addition to rejected, expired, and short dated products.

What's Needed?

• Ability to work with significant computer interfaces to complete inventory-related tasks accurately.
• Comfort investigating discrepancies and following documented processes during daily order processing.
• Ability to handle product dispositions such as rejected, expired, short dated, returned, destroyed, reworked, or quarantined materials.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of education as required.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency when updating inventory systems.
