Legal Administrative Support Associate 

Brea, CA 92821 | Full-Time | On-Site

Our client is a well-established boutique law practice in Brea, California, serving businesses, families, and individuals in both litigation and transactional matters. The firm is committed to providing high-quality legal services through a personalized, client-focused approach.

Position Overview

The Legal Administrative Support professional will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to a busy attorney. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, appointments, court deadlines, and scheduling.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic client files and databases.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and prepare correspondence and legal documents.
  • Answer phones, screen calls, take messages, and provide professional client support.
  • Perform data entry, billing, and record management using QuickBooks and TimeSlips.
  • Coordinate filing, document management, and general administrative functions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, courts, vendors, and professional contacts.
  • Manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in all work.
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of legal administrative, legal secretary, paralegal, or related experience.
  • Strong word processing and computer skills.
  • Typing speed of 60+ WPM.
  • Ability to transcribe from dictation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and client service communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work full-time in an office environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with litigation support.
  • Proficiency with WordPerfect, QuickBooks, TimeSlips, Legal Solutions/Essential Forms, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, or similar software.
  • Notary Public certification.

Compensation

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Compensation and potential benefits may be negotiated based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Brea, CA 92821 prior to their start date.
