Shipping Receiving Clerk

Our client is seeking a Shipping Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the Logistics/Operations team supporting day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly to help keep shipments accurate and on schedule.

Job Title: Shipping Receiving Clerk

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $17.5

Shift: Days (07:00-16:00)

What's the Job?

• Receive and verify incoming materials and products, including quantities, condition, and documentation against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect shipments for damage or shortages and promptly report any issues to the appropriate manager.
• Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, labeling, staging, and securing materials according to established SOP.
• Verify product quantities, customer orders, shipping documentation, and carrier information prior to shipment.
• Load and unload using forklift and other material handling equipment (including containers and pallet jacks), while maintaining accurate inventory and organized shipping/receiving areas.

What's Needed?

• Ability to follow safety policies and warehouse procedures consistently.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying quantities, documentation, and shipment accuracy.
• Experience or comfort operating forklift and other material handling equipment (as required for the role).
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records, including performing cycle counts and assisting with inventory reconciliation when needed.
• Clear communication skills to report shipping damages, shortages, and discrepancies to the Logistic supervisor.
