Supply Chain Planner

Our client, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner/Controller, MRP  to join their team. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be part of the Supply Chain organization supporting planning and purchasing activities that keep manufacturing on track. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams to resolve supplier delivery issues and protect MRP date integrity.

Location: Westminster, MD

Pay Range: $27 - $33 

Shift: 1st
This position is expected to last at least six months, with the possibility of becoming a longer-term assignment based on business needs.

What's the Job?

• Ensure on-time deliveries of purchased components/raw materials from 3rd Party Suppliers in support of the Manufacturing/Sales plan.
• Maintain date integrity of the MRP system and communicate with Material Planners to resolve delivery problems for assigned suppliers.
• Place and manage purchase orders, including rescheduling, confirmations, invoice reconciliation, and decisions on order quantities and due dates based on stock balance and costs.
• Monitor inventory and supply control for raw materials and material committed/MIT/WIP, supporting the manufacturing schedule.
• Support quality and supplier performance by coordinating with Supplier Quality on disposition of defective materials; may require occasional travel to supplier facilities to address issues and reduce lead time.

What's Needed?

• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel, Word, and purchasing practices.
• Experience with Material Requirements Planning and familiarity with manufacturing processes for assigned commodities.
• Ability to communicate daily with suppliers and internal teams (phone, email, fax, and other forms of communication) to provide delivery dates, delays, and process updates.
• Understanding and commitment to quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations, including compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
• Strong organizational skills to maintain and safeguard business records and manage reports related to inventory levels.
