As a Phlebotomist I, you will play an important role in supporting quality patient care by collecting and processing specimens accurately and efficiently. Your work helps ensure timely and reliable diagnostic testing while creating a positive experience for patients during every interaction.
What You'll Do
- Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service while creating a welcoming and professional patient experience
- Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety and quality standards
- Work independently while meeting daily productivity and accuracy expectations
What We're Looking For
- A current, up-to-date resume
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
- One year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric collections
- Strong customer service skills, ideally in a retail or service environment
- Keyboarding and data entry experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime as needed
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet compliance requirements
- Must be eligible and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
