Aerospace Project Engineer

Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturing organization, is seeking an Aerospace Project Engineer to join their team. As an Aerospace Project Engineer, you will be part of the Wheel & Braking Systems Engineering Department supporting the Engineering Team Lead and Engineering Staff. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, project management skills, and sound engineering judgment which will align successfully in the organization.
 

Job Title: Aerospace Project Engineer
Location: South Bend, IN
Pay Range: $65/hr

What’s the Job?

• Execute engineering projects related to supply chain transitions, repositions, and dual-sourcing initiatives.
• Perform substantiation and validation activities for new or relocated sources of supply.
• Design new products and make improvements to existing products.
• Evaluate products, parts, and processes for cost efficiency and reliability while ensuring project completion.
• Work closely with engineering staff to support timely production and project execution.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in an area of specialty.
• 4-6 years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Experience with project management, including scope, schedule, and cost/resources.
• Experience reviewing engineering documentation and supporting substantiation and validation of engineering changes within an aerospace environment.
