Entry Level Mechanical Calibration Technician

Our client, a leader in precision measurement and calibration services, is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Calibration Technician to join their team in Novi, MI. As a Mechanical Calibration Technician, you will be part of the Calibration Services team learning to inspect, calibrate, and maintain precision measurement equipment. Previous calibration or metrology experience is not required. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Job Title:  Entry - Level Mechanical Calibration Technician

Location: Novi, MI

Pay Range: $22 - $23.50/hr. 

Shift: 2nd shift (start 2, 3, or 4 pm)

What's the Job?

• Assist experienced Calibration Technicians with the calibration and maintenance of precision measurement equipment
• Learn to perform accurate and repeatable calibrations according to established standards and procedures
• Assist with documenting calibration results and preparing required reports
• Help maintain tools and company equipment in good working order
• Learn proper calibration processes, quality standards, and measurement techniques
• Work alongside experienced technicians to develop hands-on calibration and metrology skills
• Complete training and continue developing technical knowledge and skills

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
• Experience using basic hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Dependable, reliable, and eager to learn
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Previous calibration, metrology, or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
