Facilities Technician 5

Our client, a leading commercial facilities management organization, is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Facilities Operations Team supporting multiple institutional and commercial properties throughout Central Illinois. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization. 

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Springfield, IL

Pay Range: $38/hr - 40/hr

What’s the Job?

• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and lighting systems across a portfolio of 15 properties.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities, facility inspections, and work orders using the Corrigo CMMS system.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic HVAC maintenance including filter changes, thermostat adjustments, and simple airflow issues.
• Travel between assigned properties using a company vehicle while maintaining service standards and response times.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours emergency maintenance needs.

What’s Needed?

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in commercial, institutional, or similar facilities.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and ability to house a company vehicle.
• Experience using CMMS platforms, mobile devices, or basic computer systems for work order management.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work on ladders, and perform physically demanding maintenance tasks.
