Gas and Chemical Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, is seeking a Gas and Chemical Technician to join their team. As a Gas and Chemical Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the site’s gas and chemical management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Gas and Chemical Technician

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Pay Range:  $28.50-$32.00

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST

What's the Job?

• Support and lead inventory management of gases and chemicals, including receiving, returning, and documenting activities.
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move cylinders and ampoules safely.
• Track and analyze gas usage, prepare reports, and coordinate with vendors for timely replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, emergency procedures, and quality standards to maintain a zero-incident culture.
• Provide technical support for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment, troubleshooting and repairing over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment.

What's Needed?

• Ability to lift and move cylinders and ampoules weighing over 50 lbs.
• Experience with inventory documentation, shipment management, and material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of gas and chemical applications in wafer fabrication and emergency response procedures.
• Forklift certification or experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; barcode experience is a plus.
