Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Hardware Software Integration Engineer to join their team. As a Hardware Software Integration Engineer, you will be part of the Software department supporting the Hardware Software Integration team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Hardware Software Integration Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $75/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Lead and drive debugging of hardware-software issues to closure.
  • Identify and collaborate with cross-functional partners to root cause and resolve issues.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams to enhance future product versions.
  • Understand vehicle assembly and testing requirements; develop test plans and specifications for manufacturing support.
  • Develop test automation and leverage analysis tools to improve debugging, test coverage, and infrastructure.

What's Needed?

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields with at least 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in diagnosing complex issues involving hardware, firmware, and software components.
  • Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, USB, UART, LIN, I2C, SPI, and related testing/debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with requirements and test case development processes.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages, version control tools, and debugging utilities.
