Our client, a leader in facility management and maintenance services, is seeking an Operating Engineer 3 to join their team. As an Operating Engineer 3, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the maintenance and operation of critical building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure optimal facility operation.
  • Maintain responsibility for preventative maintenance, inventory control, and contracted maintenance services.
  • Calibrate, inspect, and replace parts to keep HVAC systems and related equipment running efficiently.
  • Record system readings, make adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to maintain system performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensure a clean work environment, and recognize hazards to prevent accidents.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Experience with air compressors (minimum 2 years), industrial plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification; EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
  • Ability to analyze system operations, troubleshoot malfunctions, and take corrective actions.
