Process Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in advanced urethane and material development solutions, is seeking a Process Technician to join their team. As a Process Technician, you will be part of the Prototype Laboratory team supporting product development, process optimization, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Process Technician
Location: UTC Prototype Laboratory
Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional Friday overtime based on business needs

What's the Job?

• Monitor, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes used to produce molded urethane products and prototypes.
• Support laboratory operations by evaluating materials, conducting testing activities, and maintaining process documentation.
• Review, update, and develop standard operating procedures to improve quality, efficiency, and equipment performance.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives, capability studies, and implementation of new equipment or manufacturing methods.
• Maintain laboratory safety, inventory accuracy, and 5S standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, production, or processing environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to interpret technical documents, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work safely in a laboratory and manufacturing environment.

• Experience with urethane foam manufacturing, chemical processing, or product development.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process improvement methodologies and quality systems.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), testing equipment, and measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
