Our client, a design and builder of control systems for utility vehicles, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience understanding PCBA assemblies, root cause investigations, corrective actions, quality planning activities, supplier quality improvement initiatives to ensure HED products consistently meet customer and internal quality requirements. Drives cross functional, root cause analysis activities using structured methodologies including 8D, 5 Why, fishbone analysis, PFMEA, fault tree analysis, and related problem-solving tools. This position will not support candidates with visa requirements and will not be supported by relocation assistance. Candidates local to the Milwaukee, WI area will be given the highest consideration. This is a direct hire role with an option of contract to direct hire status.

Location: NW Milwaukee metro area
Pay: $60-$65/hr. plus benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Minimum 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, electronics, electromechanical products, or related industries preferred.
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies, corrective action systems, supplier quality systems, customer quality requirements, and audit activities required.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing environments required, including working knowledge of printed circuit board final assembly (PCBA) process, SMT manufacturing, and electronics defect analysis.
- Experience with standard lab equipment including but not limited to DMM, CMM, oscilloscope, function generator, and/or power supply
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, (test-) specifications, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality tools, including SPC, MSA, process capability studies, statistical sampling plans, and data-driven problem-solving methods.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and process capability analysis.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
