Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Autonomous Systems team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $75-$79/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Identify, define, and analyze bounding use cases and challenging scenarios for autonomous driving systems.
  • Develop and document nominal system requirements for the autonomy sensor suite, including cameras, radar, and lidar.
  • Perform trade studies and analysis to evaluate different system architectures and sensor configurations against known requirements.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure system design aligns with documented requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and present findings to diverse audiences.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, requirements analysis, or a similar role within autonomous vehicles, aerospace, or robotics industries.
  • Proven experience in defining and analyzing complex systems and scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of sensor technologies, including cameras, radar, and lidar.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and communication skills, with experience using Python or MATLAB for analysis.
