Our client, an Aerospace, Defense, and Government technology organization, is seeking a Test Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Test Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Customer Centric Solutions Team supporting customers, sales teams, engineering teams, alliance partners, and contract manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and leadership capabilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Test Systems Engineer
Location: Austin, TX
Pay Range: $74.04/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Work with customers, sales personnel, engineering teams, alliance partners, and contract manufacturers to define, document, design, deploy, and sustain custom turnkey engineering solutions.
  • Generate requirements documents, statements of work, and Bills of Materials.
  • Define and implement project plans, manage milestones, and conduct reviews to ensure systems meet requirements and deployment readiness.
  • Specify, design, prototype, test, and deploy automated hardware and software solutions.
  • Direct support personnel, manage technical deliverables, guide technical decisions, and resolve field issues while supporting projects globally.

What’s Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience in a Hardware Systems Design or Test Engineering Design role.
  • US Person (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder) with the ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD clearances.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering, electronics, computer architectures, and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience with high-level programming languages such as LabVIEW, TestStand, C, C++, or C# and familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, BOM creation, CAD, and PCB design tools.
