Transmission Development & Validation Engineer

Our client, a global automotive manufacturing leader, is seeking a Transmission Development & Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Transmission Development & Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Powertrain Engineering Department supporting the Transmission Development, Validation, and Vehicle Testing Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Transmission Development & Validation Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay Range: $50/hr

What’s the Job?

• Lead automatic transmission development and validation activities.
• Support transmission testing, instrumentation setup, debugging, and execution.
• Analyze test data, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, calibration, thermal, and engine engineering teams.
• Manage validation plans, test schedules, documentation, and release activities.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of automotive powertrain experience with automatic transmission systems.
• Experience with transmission development, validation, testing, or release activities.
• Familiarity with ETAS INCA and/or Vector CANalyzer.
• Ability to work onsite in Auburn Hills, MI and travel up to 20% within North America.
