Our client, a global industrial technology and engineering solutions leader, is seeking a Design Engineering Data Specialist - Mechanical (CAD/CAE) to join their team. As a Design Engineering Data Specialist, you will be part of the Engineering Data & Digital Transformation team supporting advanced engineering, simulation, and AI-driven design initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Design Engineering Data Specialist - Mechanical (CAD/CAE)
Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)
Pay Range: $48.56 - $55.50/hour
What's the Job?
- Review and validate CAD and CAE data to ensure alignment with engineering intent and design requirements.
- Develop engineering data protocols, annotation guidelines, and documentation standards for AI and automated design systems.
- Analyze design lifecycle changes and create datasets that document engineering modifications across versions.
- Generate synthetic engineering datasets using CAD/CAE scripting tools and Python automation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support data-driven design, simulation, and digital engineering initiatives.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with CAD/PLM platforms, preferably Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
- Strong understanding of the design-to-simulation workflow, including FEA and CFD.
- Proficiency in Python for engineering automation, scripting, and data manipulation.
- Experience reviewing engineering data, managing design revisions, and supporting lifecycle management processes.
