Vehicle Operator Shift Supervisor

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Vehicle Operator Shift Supervisor to join their team. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be part of the Fleet Operations organization supporting Vehicle Operators and cross-functional operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a safety-first mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shift Supervisor
Location: Austin, TX
Pay Range: $36/hr.

What's the Job?

• Supervise and support a team of Vehicle Operators to ensure safe and efficient daily operations.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and regular performance feedback to direct reports.
• Coordinate schedules, validate staffing assignments, and complete administrative team support tasks.
• Lead by example as a hands-on supervisor, working alongside the team to maintain operational excellence.
• Partner with Fleet Operations leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and support mission success.

What's Needed?

• 12+ months of autonomous vehicle operator experience and an active AVT permit.
• Previous leadership, training, coaching, or team lead experience in an operations environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, safety-focused mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
