Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations

Our client, a leader in vehicle development and engineering, is seeking a Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations to join their team. As a Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations, you will be part of the Vehicle Program Management department supporting cross-functional teams involved in hardware engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and executive functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $75-$80/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Manage vehicle hardware projects and deliverables through the full product life cycle, from concept and development through validation, production ramp, and end of life.
• Own project planning and execution: build and maintain schedules, track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks, and drive mitigation plans to closure.
• Lead change management activities for hardware systems: assess impact, coordinate cross-functional reviews, and drive engineering changes (ECR/ECO) through approval and implementation.
• Plan and facilitate program meetings, milestone checkpoints, and readiness assessments; drive decisions, capture action items, and follow through to closure.
• Serve as a central point of contact between engineering, operations, and program stakeholders, streamlining communication, surfacing escalations, and creating visibility across programs.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline) or equivalent background.
• 3+ years of project or program management experience with direct, hands-on experience in automotive hardware or hardware systems development.
• Demonstrated experience managing products through the hardware life cycle (concept, design, validation, production, end of life) and applying structured change management (ECR/ECO processes, PLM systems).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive follow-through in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
