Our client, an aerospace engineering and manufacturing organization, is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As an Advanced Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the engineering team supporting Production, Supplier Transition/Reposition, and Value Engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to prioritize and adjust to changing assignments which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $75/hr
What’s the Job?
- Conduct evaluations of FanC components and systems, including quality, drawing interpretation, supplier substantiation, and design change processes.
- Perform functional evaluations across multiple engine models and part families, identifying engine boundary conditions and design requirements.
- Conduct 3D finite element thermal, stress, modal, vibration, deflection, stress rupture, and life analyses.
- Collaborate with local and global analysis teams, create statements of work, review analysis output, and communicate with manufacturing personnel, suppliers, customers, and chief engineers.
- Support process transformation initiatives to reduce design and manufacturing cost and cycle time.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Knowledge of the gas turbine engine industry and system-level understanding of a gas turbine engine.
- Strong drawing interpretation skills, including GD&T, along with FEA (ANSYS or equivalent) and 3D modeling (CAD) experience.
