Application Engineer II

Our client, a leading energy technology and engineering organization, is seeking a Windows VDI Administrator (Application Engineer II) to join their team. As a Windows VDI Administrator, you will be part of the Engineering Digital Technology team supporting engineering users across virtual desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting expertise, and collaboration skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Windows VDI Administrator (Application Engineer II)
Location: Greenville, SC
Pay Range: $57.58/hour

What's the Job?

• Administer and support the Windows Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.
• Manage Windows VDI images, application deployments, patching, and standardization efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application compatibility and desktop performance issues.
• Support user onboarding, access provisioning, and data migration activities.
• Monitor VDI performance, capacity utilization, and security compliance requirements.

What's Needed?

• Experience administering Windows VDI environments such as AWS WorkSpaces, Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop engineering, image management, and application deployment.
• Experience with Active Directory, user provisioning, and access management.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex desktop, application, and performance-related issues.
• Experience with PowerShell, automation, security remediation, and Windows system administration.
