Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Boulder, Colorado
Schedule: Onsite, M-F
Pay Range:$130,000 - $165,000

Our client, a leader in optical manufacturing and automation solutions, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Operations - Engineering department supporting manufacturing and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Maintain and support automated manufacturing tools to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process enhancements.
• Develop business cases and justifications to support automation investments and upgrades.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deploy automation solutions and ensure ongoing service and support.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, working closely with EHS and Quality teams.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of industry experience in automation, controls, or related fields.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and familiarity with robotics, motion controls, and vision systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications related to optical components.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and quality tools.
