Electrical Controls Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in industrial automation and production systems, is seeking a Electrical Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Production and Automation teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Virginia Beach, Virginia

Pay Range:$100,000 - $115,000

What's the Job?

• Manage multiple SCADA and PLC integration projects within defined timelines with limited supervision.
• Support production departments through design, debugging, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and methods.
• Program, configure, and develop sequences of operation for PLCs on new and existing production machinery.
• Design electrical, pneumatic, hardware, and software controls for workstations, auto stations, and automation machines.
• Analyze and implement vision-based monitoring systems to enhance production quality and efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering with PLC experience, or related field.
• Experience with PLC & HMI programming, preferably Siemens PLCs.
• Proficiency in developing dashboards using SCADA software.
• Knowledge of pneumatic design and deployment.
• Experience programming FANUC robots is a plus.
