Electrical Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in electrical solutions, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting project development and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Madison, Wisconsin 53713

Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000 + 5% Bonus

What's the Job?

• Support the design process from kickoff through production to deliver the electrical drawing set and electrical bills of materials (EBOMs).
• Address issues identified during initial design reviews and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve design issues, clarify scope, and ensure project alignment.
• Provide clarity and direction to support Production during the build and test processes.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and power system design principles throughout project execution.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 

• 2+ years of electrical field experience required.

• Prior experience in low or medium voltage switchgear, factory acceptance testing, and general electrical testing of power distribution systems.

• Familiarity with the electrical standards specified in the National Electrical Code.

• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.

• Expertise in multi-conductor control wiring and optical patch cable specification.

• A safety-focused approach to work in the production environment for acceptance testing.

• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and power system design principles
• Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) creation and management
• ERP system knowledge preferred
