We’re partnered with a long‑established pharmaceutical manufacturer seeking a hands‑on Engineering Project Manager to lead capital projects in a cGMP API manufacturing environment.
This is not a coordinator role. The ideal candidate is a technical subject matter expert who personally diagnoses problems, makes design decisions, and owns projects end‑to‑end — not someone who relies on consultants to do the technical thinking.
What you’ll do:

  • Own $1MM+ capital projects from scope/URS through design, construction, commissioning, IQ/OQ/PQ, and validated turnover
  • Act as the technical authority for process, facility, and utility systems
  • Support new product scale‑up and capacity expansions
  • Troubleshoot and improve systems in an aging, complex GMP facility
  • Drive work through change control, CQV, and structured problem‑solving
Must‑have background:
  • 5+ years in pharma, biologics, or FDA‑regulated manufacturing
  • Hands‑on CQV experience (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Capital project ownership (not just participation)
  • Experience with process & clean utilities (WFI/RO, clean steam, HVAC, etc.)
  • B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering strongly preferred
