Our client, a leader in federal construction projects, is seeking a Federal Estimator to join their team. As a Federal Estimator, you will be part of the estimating department supporting federal building project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Lead estimating efforts by developing detailed and conceptual cost estimates for federal construction projects from early planning through final bid.
- Ensure federal compliance by applying cost coding standards, wage determinations, and procurement requirements.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor coordination by soliciting, reviewing, and analyzing quotes to ensure scope coverage and compliance with federal requirements.
- Conduct risk and cost analysis to identify construction risks, assess schedule impacts, and recommend value engineering solutions.
- Collaborate on preconstruction planning with project managers, design teams, and schedulers to validate estimates and align planning with budget goals.
What's Needed?
- 8+ years of estimating experience, including 5+ years on federal building projects.
- Deep knowledge of federal procurement processes, cost breakdown structures, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as RSMeans, Sage Estimating, WinEst, ProEst, or MC2.
- Experience with scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, and platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam.
- Strong understanding of UFC, ADA, ABA, and IBC codes, with a detail-oriented and organized approach.
