Gas and Chemical Technician

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to join their team. As a Gas & Chemical Technician, you will be part of the operations team supporting site gas and chemical distribution systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, safety consciousness, and problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: Starting at $28 - $31 per hour

Shift: TBD

What's the Job?

• Support the technical demands of site gas and chemical equipment, ensuring optimal operation and safety.
• Perform cylinder and drum changes on chemical and gas systems, troubleshooting complex issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with operational, maintenance, safety, and quality procedures.
• Support over 500 pieces of distribution equipment from various vendors, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Participate in safety processes, preventative maintenance, and technical training to foster a zero-incident culture.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance or equipment technician.
• Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is preferred.
• Military mechanic training or Navy Nuclear power school experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate respirators and work with chemicals safely, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
