Industrial HVAC Technician

Our client, Industrial HVAC & Facilities Operations is seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician to join their team. As an Industrial HVAC Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance team supporting day-to-day reliability for lead-based plant operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on HVAC troubleshooting strength, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to support a variety of work orders while staying focused on refrigerant systems and controls.

Job Title: Industrial HVAC Technician
Location: Florence, KY
Pay Range: $29-$31/hr.

What's the Job?

• Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including chillers, DX units, heat pumps, and rooftop units (RTUs)
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, brazing, and compressor repairs in compliance with EPA and safety standards
• Troubleshoot HVAC electrical components, low-voltage controls, sensors, and building automation devices
• Support preventive maintenance by completing scheduled inspections, documenting findings, and tracking refrigerant usage
• Assist with startups, functional testing, and commissioning support for new or upgraded equipment

What's Needed?

• EPA Universal Certification
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing refrigerant-based HVAC systems
• Proven troubleshooting experience with compressors, refrigerant circuits, and mechanical components
• Working knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, low-voltage controls, and safety procedures
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation; comfort using CMMS
