Inside Research Worker

Our client, Inside Research Worker is seeking a Inside Research Worker to join their team. As a Inside Research Worker, you will be part of the Assay Development and Characterization team supporting the Trait Transient Assay (TTA) efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Johnston, IA

Pay Range: $28/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am -5pm (40 hrs/wk) - no overtime available

What's the Job?

• Support general laboratory operations tasks and assist with experimental execution at the direction of laboratory and/or project leads.
• Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment in accordance with laboratory standards, including routine cleaning and organization.
• Assist in plant assays, including sampling, bacterial culture maintenance, and plant care, while working in controlled environments (Growth Chambers).
• Utilize lab instruments to analyze samples and record results accurately with attention to detail.
• Perform lab duties using sterile technique, including standard lab cleaning procedures and plasmid isolations, and help analyze and report data associated with conducted assays.

What's Needed?

• Associates (2-yr) required.
• New graduates with experience in a laboratory setting are encouraged to apply.
• Commitment to excellent safety and risk management practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with clear communication and efficient work habits.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks, including repetitive laboratory duties while staying focused.
