Our client, a global leader in adhesives, coatings, and specialty materials, is seeking a Coatings Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Coatings Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Research & Development Laboratory supporting Scientists, Chemists, and Product Development teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, initiative, and strong organizational skills which will align successfully in the organization.

 

Job Title: Laboratory Technician (9-Month Contract)

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $22/hr

 

What’s the Job?

  • Perform laboratory testing of paints, coatings, cleaners, and pretreatment products.
  • Evaluate, collect, and accurately record experimental and testing data.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting experiments using established laboratory procedures.
  • Prepare chemical formulations and coatings from raw ingredients while following safety guidelines.
  • Enter and communicate project results through computer-based charts, tables, and laboratory documentation.

 

What’s Needed?

  • Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, chemical, or technical environment.
  • Ability to follow established testing procedures and accurately document results.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and reporting using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Technical degree or coursework in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is preferred.
