Our client, a leading automotive engineering and manufacturing organization, is seeking a Mechanical Technician 2 to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician 2, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Operations team supporting engineering, testing, fabrication, and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Warren, MI
Pay Range: $25.85 - $29.54 per hour
What’s the Job?
- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to support testing and manufacturing activities.
- Assist with the modification, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Prepare sketches, work orders, purchase requests, and technical documentation for fabrication and assembly projects.
- Support fabrication, assembly, and testing requirements while coordinating engineering changes and design updates.
- Inspect and evaluate technical drawings and tooling designs to ensure compliance with specifications and functional requirements.
What’s Needed?
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a mechanical technician, engineering technician, manufacturing, or testing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience with engineering software, CAD applications, or drafting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
