Our client, a leading global medical technology and product development organization, is seeking a Product Development Lab Technician - R&D Testing & Engineering Support to join their team. As a Product Development Lab Technician, you will be part of the Engineering & Product Development organization supporting R&D, Laboratory Operations, and Cross-Functional Engineering Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Product Development Lab Technician - R&D Testing & Engineering Support
Location: Brea, CA
Pay Range: $27.00 - $35.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract (12 Months)
What's the Job?
- Execute laboratory testing and engineering test protocols to support product development activities.
- Collect, analyze, document, and communicate technical data, test results, and engineering findings.
- Assist with prototype development, test setup preparation, and equipment qualification activities.
- Support laboratory operations including calibration, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support new product development and testing initiatives.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4-6 years of laboratory, engineering technician, or regulated manufacturing experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in a technical field with relevant laboratory/R&D experience.
- Experience working in a laboratory, product development, testing, or regulated environment.
- Ability to follow written procedures, SOPs, testing protocols, and technical work instructions.
- Experience with technical documentation, data collection, report generation, and test result analysis.
- Strong teamwork, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills.
