Quality Control Laboratory Specialist I (Microbiology & GMP) - $27.10/hr - 1st Shift | One year

Our client, a leading Life Sciences and Medical Technology organization, is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Specialist I to join their team. As a Quality Control Laboratory Specialist I, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting Laboratory Operations, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Control Laboratory Specialist I (Microbiology & GMP)
Location: Cockeysville, MD
Pay Range: $27.10/hour

What’s the Job?

• Perform routine and non-routine quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate testing results.
• Accurately document testing activities, observations, and results in laboratory records and electronic systems.
• Support investigations related to out-of-specification (OOS) results and contribute to corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, GLP, safety procedures, and quality standards while supporting multiple laboratory functions.

What’s Needed?

• Laboratory-related certificate from an accredited institution.
• Understanding of GMP, GDP, and GLP regulations and regulated laboratory environments.
• Experience performing laboratory testing and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ability to safely work with chemicals, biological materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
