Seat Engineer

Our client, a global automotive manufacturing leader, is seeking a Seat Complete Design Release Engineer to join their team. As a Seat Complete Design Release Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Seating Systems, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Seat Complete Design Release Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay Range: $90/hour

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and release complete vehicle seating systems.
• Manage seating programs throughout the product lifecycle from concept through production and end-of-life.
• Develop and integrate seat structures, foam, trim, and seating components.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, quality, cost, and performance requirements.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of automotive engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with vehicle seating systems and seat integration.
• CAD experience, preferably NX and Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of FMVSS/ECE regulations, BOM management, and DFMEA methodologies.
