Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Installer III to support the installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced security and fire protection systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer systems operate safely, efficiently, and according to contract specifications. You'll collaborate with customers, service teams, engineering, sales, and subcontractors while serving as a technical resource for complex system solutions. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who enjoy hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and solving challenging system issues.

What’s the Job?

• Program, commission, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on security and fire systems.
• Diagnose complex system issues and provide technical solutions or guidance to other team members.
• Configure security, fire, and related low-voltage systems utilizing core and third-party products, software, networks, and electrical technologies.
• Order materials from internal and external suppliers and coordinate timely delivery to project locations.
• Complete service requests, commissioning documentation, and project records accurately.
• Support engineering and sales teams with technical recommendations, job layouts, and bid proposal input.
• Deliver site-specific training for system owners and operators.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, local codes, national codes, and daily pre-job checklist requirements.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding service activities, system performance, and future enhancement opportunities.
• Monitor service and project execution, escalating issues or changes to management and sales teams as needed.
• Develop and present field proposals for small projects, labor, and material opportunities.
• Serve as a technical resource for Security and Fire teams.
• Participate in on-call support and work outside standard business hours when required by business or customer needs.

What’s Needed?

• Medium-level experience working with security, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex security and fire system environments.
• Experience with system programming, commissioning, configuration, and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of security and fire system products, software applications, IT networks, and electrical technologies.
• Ability to interpret project specifications, service agreements, and installation requirements.
• Experience providing technical training and customer support.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with customers, subcontractors, sales teams, and technical teams.
• Ability to maintain applicable local and national Fire/Security industry certifications.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
