Our client, a leader in industrial automation and material handling solutions, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer II to join their team. As a Senior Controls Engineer II, you will be part of the Controls Department supporting project development and system design. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, innovative thinking, and collaborative skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Senior Controls Engineer II

Location:Hobart, Indiana (Remote work available)

Pay Range:$135,000 - $150,000

What's the Job?

  • Designs control systems for industrial material handling solutions, including concept development, specifications, and prototypes.
  • Leads large projects or multiple smaller projects, providing guidance and training to less experienced team members.
  • Develops control panel schematics, device layouts, and network details using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Creates and tests Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
  • Performs on-site beta testing, investigates product issues, and collaborates with teams to optimize system performance.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in control system design, especially with sortation, conveyance equipment, or robotics.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley control software and tools.
  • Knowledge of electrical and safety codes, including risk assessments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
