Senior Firmware Engineer

Our client, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Firmware Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting multiple programs involving Linux system development, driver research & development, and technical issue resolution. Job Title: Senior Firmware Engineer

Location: St. Paul,  Minnesota

What's the Job?

• Support Linux system development, driver research, and development activities across multiple engineering programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system interactions and driver behavior, providing technical insights and solutions.
• Assist with research, documentation, and troubleshooting related to Ethernet and PCIe driver development.
• Coordinate with IT and networking teams to ensure lab network infrastructure remains operational and aligned with program needs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system interactions, driver behavior, and program workflows.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with C programming within a Linux environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, system debugging, and custom Linux builds.
• Familiarity with CMake, XML schema, and Linux build environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Ethernet, PCIe, TCP/IP, and VLANs.
