Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Program Manager to join their dynamic team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Telematics team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Technical Program Manager - Telematics Systems
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $80-$85/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Lead and support the execution and implementation of Telematics systems enabling vehicle communications across multiple radio modalities, including LTE, 5G, WiFi, GNSS, and others.
- Develop project schedules to meet company milestones, align and track progress through intermediate checkpoints, gates, and milestones.
- Identify and raise awareness of potential risks, and clearly communicate ongoing progress to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, vehicle integration, and program management to drive projects to successful completion.
- Manage resource allocations, define deliverables, and establish standard reports for effective stakeholder communication.
What's Needed?
- BS or MS degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with RF technologies including LTE, 5G, WiFi, GNSS, and others.
- 6+ years of experience leading engineering teams and/or managing complex hardware projects.
- Hands-on experience with project management and reporting tools such as SmartSheet, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Ability to communicate clearly, lead by influence, and build strong relationships with team members and leadership.
