Mechanical Design Engineer | Rocky Mount, NC

Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology organization, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering team supporting the Repair Development and Overhaul Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Rocky Mount, NC
Pay Range: $40/hr

 

What’s the Job?

  • Review and research technical requirements for repair development, including processes, procedures, and repair techniques.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to materials, tools, equipment, facilities, and technical documentation.
  • Support yield improvement initiatives by identifying findings and proposing solutions to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and improve first-pass yield (FPY).
  • Develop and complete overhaul repair instructions, technical inspection instructions, and repair process documentation.
  • Provide technical support and oversight to suppliers involved in overhaul repair activities.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience reviewing and developing technical documentation, procedures, and repair processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
