Formulator

Our client, a leading organization in the health and wellness industry, is seeking a dedicated Formulator to join their team. As a Formulator, you will be part of the Research & Development department supporting product innovation and development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Formulator

Location: Valencia, CA

Pay Range: $40-60/hr

Shift: 1st Shift -  Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Develops and optimizes formulations across a portfolio of products encompassing multiple dosage forms and delivery systems.
• Executes and monitors bench-top, pilot-scale, and manufacturing scale-up and verification batches; provides technical and scientific expertise to cross-functional teams.
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation for all R&D activities, including product and raw material specifications, technical reports, laboratory notebooks, and technology transfer documentation.
• Ensures safe, compliant, and efficient operations in alignment with safety standards, SOPs, and GMP requirements; supports equipment functionality and preventative maintenance to minimize risk and downtime.
• Prepares stability, consumer, and clinical study samples; develops and reviews stability protocols; monitors and summarizes study results.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Food Science or other relevant science degree.
• 2+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree with 0-1+ years of experience.
• Competent knowledge and practical experience with supplement and/or pharmaceutical and/or functional foods product development, processing equipment and techniques, and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on formulation and scale-up experience with Tablets, Softgels, 2-piece hardshell capsules, or powders.
• Proven ability to design and execute experimental studies, analyze data statistically, and communicate findings effectively.
