Our client, a dedicated food service provider committed to delivering quality meals and excellent customer service, is seeking a Food Service Worker to join their team. As a Food Service Worker, you will be an essential part of the dining operations supporting the Estes dining hall team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Food Service Worker
Location: Ashland, VA
Pay Range: $16/hr
Shift: 2:00 PM start, 8-hour shift
What's the Job?
- Assist the manager with food and meal preparation to ensure timely service
- Maintain accurate cash receipts and meal records for accountability
- Help complete daily reports to support operational efficiency
- Uphold high standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate uniforms including safety shoes, dark pants, and dark shirts
What's Needed?
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Food Service Certificate as needed (training can be provided)
- Basic education or training sufficient to perform job duties
- Availability to work the specified shift and report to Estes dining hall
